What it shows

Number of distinct validators active on a given calendar day. At the network level this is strictly validators that produced at least one block; at client and scheduler groupings it is validators with valid stake data. Tracks whether the active validator set is growing or consolidating.

How it is computed

At the network level, a validator is counted if it produced at least one block that day. For client and scheduler views, a validator is counted if it has an active stake recorded, which may include validators that did not produce any blocks that day.

Aggregation: Count of distinct validators meeting the activity threshold for the chosen view.
