The default network series of the Explorer (superminority_validator_count). Download the data (CSV)

The minimum number of top-staked validators whose combined stake reaches 33.34% (superminority) or 66.67% (supermajority) of the network total. A superminority can halt the chain, and a supermajority can finalize blocks. Higher numbers mean that stake is more evenly distributed.

What it shows

The minimum number of top-staked validators, ranked by active stake, largest first, whose combined stake reaches or exceeds 33.34% of total network active stake. This is the size of the smallest coalition that could halt the chain by refusing to vote. A higher number means greater decentralization.

How it is computed

Validators are ranked by active stake from largest to smallest. The superminority count is the smallest number of top-ranked validators whose combined stake reaches or exceeds 33.34% of total network active stake. This is the smallest coalition that could halt the chain by refusing to vote.

Aggregation: Single value per day: the minimum validator count to cross the 33.34% stake threshold.
