Average daily vote transaction cost per validator (SOL). Validators submit a vote transaction nearly every slot, each paying the 5,000-lamport base fee. The daily vote count follows slot time (about 216,000 at 400 ms slots, 432,000 at 200 ms slots), so the cost is about 1.1 SOL/day per validator at 400 ms slots and about 2.2 SOL/day at 200 ms slots. It is the largest direct operating expense for most operators.
